After 5 years
as Kirkwood Fine Used Books, Carol Kirkwood and Bill Bell have recently
opened CHARACTERS FINE BOOKS & COFFEE BAR at 8419
Granville St. in Marpole. As they say...they're 'Living The
Dream'...having taken their business to new heights!
Carol and Elanor, (store Manager), have already established an
impeccable reputation as purveyors of gently used books, plus, their
tenacity in searching for elusive titles and collectibles world-wide is
almost legendary! CHARACTERS is well organized, user-friendly(of
course) and has an expanded Children's section!
CHARACTERS COFFEE BAR features fresh-roasted, organic and
shade-grown coffees from the Salt Spring Roasting Company, along with an
amazing selection of hot Ciders, delectable pastries, sensuous chocolates,
refreshing ice creams, soothing teas, espresso, Chai tea and more! Let
Bill be your guide.
The atmosphere is truly relaxed...a world away from the hectic. Just
step through their doors and simply browse while enjoying a Latte, or set
yourself down in what is already established as a Marpole meeting place.
We've thoroughly enjoyed becoming regulars at Kirkwood Fine Used
books, and now, with CHARACTERS opened from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
daily, we can absolutely indulge!
